SecondMarket Continues Rapid Growth with Senior Hires

NEW YORK CITY, Oct. 27, 2008 – SecondMarket (formerly Restricted Stock
Partners), the largest centralized marketplace for illiquid assets, announced today that it
has added five new vice presidents, reflecting the company’s rapid growth and planned
expansion into new asset classes.

“Our move into larger offices will provide the space we need to continue hiring the best

capital markets.”

The new appointments, which bring total headcount at SecondMarket to nearly 60
employees, include Michael D. Anderson, Vice President – Bankruptcy Claims Market;
Owen M. Dolan, Vice President – Public Equity Market; Samuel H. Hodges, Vice
President – Business Development; Paul J. McCabe, Vice President – Private Equity
Market, and S. Michael Moro, Vice President – Data & Analytics.

Anderson previously served as Assistant Vice President of Business Development
in the Global Structured Products Group at Dominion Bond Rating Services Ltd.
(DBRS). Prior to DBRS, he worked at Stone & Youngberry LLC and RBC Dain
Rauscher. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Dakota,
Grand Forks, and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Prior to joining SecondMarket, Owen M. Dolan was a Trader/Analyst for ProMed
Management, Inc., a long/short healthcare hedge fund. Before that, he worked at
Columbia University and Opal Financial Group. Dolan earned his bachelor’s degree
from Wesleyan University in Middleton, Conn.

Samuel H. Hodges came to SecondMarket from FirstMark Capital (formerly Pequot
Ventures) where he served as an Associate, focusing on businesses in the data, analytics and
infrastructure sectors. Before FirstMark, he was employed at Blue Mobile and Katzenbach
Partners. Hodges earned a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in Providence, R.I.

Paul J. McCabe previously served as a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in the
Wholesale Mortgage Group. Prior to joining JP Morgan, he worked at Harbourton
Mortgage Investment Corp., IndyMac Bank and First Franklin Financial. McCabe earned
his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic.
Before joining SecondMarket, S. Michael Moro worked in the Global Fixed Income
Group of Citigroup Global Markets Inc. Before that, he was in Citigroup’s Investment
Banking Division. Moro earned a bachelor’s degree from the McDonough School of
Business at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
