First Steps

At FirstMark, we are committed to investing in leading technology innovators who share our passion for making an impact by building exceptional, world-changing businesses. Our FirstSteps seed program is designed for early stage technology companies seeking investments of $50K-$1MM. We prefer companies to be based in the New York City area, but will consider opportunities on an exceptional basis outside the region. We also have a bias towards companies that have a full time CTO to allow for rapid iteration and constant experimentation. We believe seed companies should surround themselves with a good network of advisors and supporters, and frequently invest seed capital alongside angel investors or other institutional seed investors.

As a FirstMark seed investment, you will join a rapidly growing network of early stage companies who learn and share from one another. FirstMark actively facilitates and encourages interaction amongst the portfolio to enhance the group's progress. We host regular meetings to provide interactions with the partnership, bring in industry leading guest speakers to explore relevant topical subjects, and make available our talented venture partners for the benefit of our seed companies.
